Are you the caregiver for a loved one?

Hello and welcome. My name is Gail Moore. I am a certified professional coach and experienced caregiver, very familiar with the caregiving journey.

As a result of my experiences, it became my heart’s desire to help other women navigate this complex territory, take care of themselves, and stay in touch with their own goodness and courage.

Let me ask you these questions:

Q. Are you taking care of someone who is aging, physically or mentally ill, injured, disabled or dying?
 

If so I consider you to be one of the "unseen heroes", doing probably the most difficult job in the world!
 

Q. In your role as caregiver do you ever experience any of the following:

  • overwhelm

  • confusion

  • feelings of inadequacy 

  • guilt, shame

  • sadness

  • being frightened

  • exhaustion

  • loss of your old life, friends, the relationship as it once was, dreams

  • self recrimination

  • anger

  • desolation, feeling all alone

  • feeling victimized

  • depression

  • feeling lost

If so please know that these are very typical experiences for the amazingly arduous task that you have so

courageously undertaken.

The truth is however, that with support you can have a much kinder and less stressful journey.

​

Support in the form of coaching can make all the difference in the world. And please note that the earlier in the
process it comes, the easier it will be and the less of a toll the care-giving will take.

 

Here are some essential concerns:

  • Avoiding overwhelm and burnout

  • Taking care of yourself without guilt

  • Developing strategies for dealing with day-to-day practicalities, emotions and possible crises

  • Feeling supported and not so all alone

  • Finding and/or staying in touch with your own dreams and goals

 

Know that it is possible to:

  • Have the most challenging job in the world become the most meaningful work you will ever do

  • Turn a chaotic roller coaster ride into a calmer clearer day-to-day existence

  • Move from confusion to clarity and confidence​

  • Experience periods of peace and acceptance

  • Stay connected to yourself and your dreams
